Our land – Emeralds in the mountain of the Centaurs

 

Pelion – It stands daringly at 1624 meters, the mountain of Gods and men, verdant and as if brought out of this world. Pelion was the Olympic Gods’ summer “home” and the land of the Centaurs. Majestic beauty, magnificent lush scenery, crystal clear springs, golden beaches, beautiful clear sea, daring mountain tops, over 70 picturesque little villages built according to the traditional local architecture,  cobblestone-paved narrow paths, bridges, traditional local mansions and guest houses.

 

Pelion consists of Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Pelion which combine the verdant mountainous scenery with the deep blue sea of the Aegean and the filigreed coast of the Pagasetic. Wonderful beaches, seafront villages with impressive mountaintops and traditional highland settlements make up a unique puzzle of beauty that distinguishes Pelion as an ideal destination all year long!

 

Eastern Pelion includes the villages of: Zagora, Chorefto, Kissos, Aghios Dimitrios, Aghios Ioannis, Mouresi, Tsagarada, Damouhari, Milopotamos, Xourihti, Anilio, Fakistra, Pouri, Papa-Nero, Plaka, Banikas, Labinou and Kalamaki.

 

Western Pelion is made up of the villages: Glafires, Kato Kerasia, Ano Kerasia and Kanalia.

 

Northern Pelion consists of the villages: Siki, Argalasti, Xinovrisi, Metochi, Lafkos, Promiri, Platania, Liri, Kastri, Katighiorghis,  Milina and Trikeri.
